THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WALK PNEUMONIA AND PNEUMONIA?

I have had a wet cough and the severity of it has got out of hand, it hurts to breathe when I am laying down, and the coughing is so sever it cause a lot of headaches. My husband just got diagnosed with pneumonia tonight and I wanted to know if it is contagious.
