Mom and dad pressuring me about prom?

how to get them off my back? i don't want to go tbh. my prom is a year away maybe i'll change my mind but this has been my opinion for the past year. i live in england apparently this makes a difference i don't know why. I don't know why but the dance, the dress, the hair none of it appeals to me . I just don't see the point.
