Can fevers make kidney stones worse? Is there any kind of connection between those two things?

It's fathers day and my dad is in the hospital with a kidney stone. He's been there for two nights and he just got a fever last night. Im really concerned and sad. And I don't know the severity of everything. I hope he is okay. Can fevers, in any way, make kidney stones worse?
